Spider's Web Pizza

This is a funky way to serve pizza on Hallowe’en night. It makes two web pizzas.

For the dough:
300g white or brown bread flour
½ tsp easy-blend yeast
½ tsp sugar
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp milk powder
1 tsp salt
210ml water

For the topping:
Tomato pizza topping or purée
Grated cheddar cheese

Heat the oven to 220 degrees C, Gas Mark 7.  Place all the dough ingredients into a  bread machine on ‘pizza dough’ setting. When the dough is done, turn out on a floured surface and divide into two.

Taking one half, divide in half again. Use this half to make the six main spokes for the web, each about 140 cm long, and place in a spider’s web shape on a well-oiled baking tray. Use the other half of the dough to connect up the spokes (see picture above). Spread the tomato topping or purée on the dough and sprinkle the cheese on top.
Repeat with the other half of dough, so you have two spider’s web pizzas. Place them in the heated oven and cook for 12 mins.
