This is a fantastically gooey toffee that can be pulled and stretched in your hands to make bite-sized pieces. 325 ml (1 tin) condensed milk
3 tbsp golden syrup Place a sheet of baking parchment on a large plate. Put the condensed milk and syrup in a large pan and bring to the boil stirring occasionally. Boil the toffee mixture steadily, stirring to prevent sticking for about 15 mins, until it turns a rich caramel colour. Pour on to the baking parchment and leave until cool enough to handle. Grease your hands with butter and pull the toffee apart, folding and stretching until it becomes shiny and golden in colour. Roll, twist or cut into smaller pieces and take down to the fire. |
